Shell Opens Its World’s Largest Electric Vehicle Charging Station in China
In Shenzhen, China, Shell has opened its largest electric vehicle (EV) charging station in the globe.
Shell stated that the station, which is located adjacent to Shenzhen airport, has 258 charging stations and solar panels with an annual generation capacity of 300,000 kilowatt-hours.
Shell and Chinese EV juggernaut BYD operate the station as a joint venture, the company said in a statement.
In China, Shell operates approximately 800 EV charging stations through joint ventures and wholly-owned subsidiaries.
Shell’s expansion into the electric vehicle charging market is aimed at supporting the growing demand for EVs in China, one of the largest electric vehicle markets in the world. Read Also
